What Is a Giclee?
(Pro-nounced 'zhee-clay')
A giclee is a high-resolution, high tech, individually produced
reproduction that is done on a very special large format printer. Giclees
are produced from digital scans of existing artwork. They can be
printed on many surfaces from canvas to watercolor paper to vinyl. They
are superior to the traditional lithography in nearly every way.
The colors are brighter, last longer, and are so high-resolution that
they are virtually 'continuous tone', rather than tiny dots. The range
of color for giclees is far beyond that of lithography, and details are
crisper.
My giclees are made with the very best equipment to provide the
very finest Giclee prints. The D'Vinci Fine Art Printing System makes
it possible to reproduce colors you've only dreamed of. This is truly
a proven system which is the best of the best! The longevity of
these Giclee prints can now be measured in centuries!
The Giclees I have priced on this web-site are reproduced on stretched
canvas with gallery edges (approx.1 1/4"wide) and are limited signed
and numbered editions only .
